Normal West Jazz Night – Friday, March 12

5:30 p.m. – Call time
5:45 – Warm-up
6:15 – PERFORMANCE
6:35 – Done!

ROWVA Jazz Festival – Saturday, March 13

ROWVA High School
346 E. Rova Dr.
Oneida, IL 61467

Schedule:
9:45 a.m. – CALL TIME – LOAD BUS
10:15 – Depart from Chiddix
12:15 – Arrive at ROWVA High School
3:00 – Warm-up
3:30 – PERFORMANCE
4:00 – Clinic
4:30– Put instruments away; chill out until concert
5:00 – Judge’s Combo (featured performance)
6:00 - Awards
6:20 – Load bus, depart ROWVA High School (we will be stopping for dinner)
9:00 p.m. – Arrive at Chiddix

Important Info:
• Act responsibly: You are representing the band, Chiddix Junior High School, and everyone who supports you. Be respectful to the clinicians and other performers. If you hear something cool, clap. If you hear something lousy, keep it to yourself!
• Dress:
o Boys – Dress shirt/tie, dress pants, belt, dress shoes, matching socks
o Girls – something dressy; skirts must reach past the knees when seated
• Before leaving on the bus, triple-check to make sure you have the following:
o Instrument (reeds, valve oil, slide grease, drum sticks, mallets, patch cord, etc.)
o Music folder with all the music
o All personal belongings you intend to bring
o ROWVA High School is providing a drum set, keyboard and amp, guitar amp, and a bass amp; WE are bringing our “bass” keyboard. Bring patch cords just in case!

• Music – Here are the tunes we’ll be playing:
o Killer Joe
o So What
o Caravan
• Don’t bring anything you don’t want stolen (i.e., IPods, video games, etc.) If you bring these items on the bus, store them out of sight (in a bag) when we reach our destination.
• Cell phones should be shut OFF during all performances and clinics.
• Bring money for lunch/dinner/snacks. Concessions will be provided at the school. We’ll be stopping for a fast food dinner on the way home.
• If your parents are coming and you intend to ride home with them after the featured concert, you need to bring a note. You may only ride home with your parents!
• Fun will be had by all.
