JAZZ NIGHT INFO for Chiddix Jazz Band
Chiddix Jazz Band
DATE: Friday, May 8th
TIME: 6:00 p.m.
PLACE: Auditorium
CALL TIME: 5:15 p.m.
SCHEDULE:
6:00 p.m. – Chiddix JH
6:30 – Kingsley JH
7:00 – NCHS Basie
7:30 – NCHS Jazz Choir
8:00 – NCHS Ellington
WHAT TO BRING:
The jazz bands are responsible for bringing desserts and goodies for people to snack on during the show. Please bring one pan or plate of cookies, brownies, bars, etc. Mr. Masterman loves to eat homemade stuff, but store-bought is okay too.
Please deliver your baked goods to the auditorium by 5:45 p.m.
PARENT HELP:
We need four parents from the Basie Jazz Ensemble to help serve drinks and snacks in the back of the auditorium from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. It’s an easy job!
We also need an unlimited number of parents to assist with creating and installing decorations (jazz posters, twinkle lights, pictures from past years, creative stuff, etc.). It may be a good idea to have one parent (or set of parents) coordinate this and delegate. If this is your thing, we need you! If left on his own, Mr. Masterman will probably only manage to find a weak, pathetic-looking potted plant to put on the stage. Very tacky.
We have plenty of crayons, but need some large paper for the kiddies use for artistic purposes. But please, no scissors or glue. Or paste.
If you would like to help at Jazz Night, please contact Mr. Masterman at mastermj@unit5.org. Thank you!
THAT IS ALL.
